Title: AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT GENERAL ELECTIONS FOR MOST STATE AND COUNTY OFFICERS SHALL BE HELD ON THE FIRST SATURDAY IN NOVEMBER; TO AMEND SECTIONS 23-15-171 AND 23-15-173, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT MUNICIPAL PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS SHALL BE HELD ON SATURDAY; TO AMEND SECTION 23-15-833, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE REGULAR SPECIAL ELECTION DAY SHALL BE THE FIRST SATURDAY IN NOVEMBER; TO AMEND SECTIONS 37-5-7, 37-7-207, 37-7-223 AND 37-7-227, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT ELECTIONS FOR THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF CERTAIN SCHOOL DISTRICTS SHALL BE HELD ON SATURDAY; TO AMEND SECTIONS 21-5-1, 21-5-3, 21-8-7, 23-15-191 AND 65-1-3, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, IN CONFORMITY TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
